Weaving together the latest designs and technology with the rich heritage and time-honored beliefs of Nepal.
For people with open minds, big hearts and a desire to explore. Founded in 2003 by Tashi Sherpa and his family to help the communities and people of Nepal, ours is a small brand committed to making a big impact. Every item we sell provides a day of school for a Nepalese child.
In Nepal, many children grow up deprived of basic education and we are passionate about changing this for the better. We believe every child has a right to education, and that when we all have the knowledge and skills needed to succeed, the whole world benefits.
Sherpa starts a journey. For you, it's off the beaten path to adventure and new experiences. For the children of Nepal, it's to opportunity and a brighter future.
Sherpa Adventure Gear was founded in May 2003 by Tashi Sherpa, as a living memorial to the unsung heroes of Mt. Everest. Inspired by the spiritual lifestyle and rich culture of Nepal, where the locals greet newcomers with an open mind, joyful heart, and humble soul.

Children are the future, which is why every time you buy from Sherpa, you fund another day of school for a Nepali child. Our mission is to open young minds to new possibilities and inspire lives of adventure through learning.

Creating employment opportunities and support for women in Nepal, our women's weaving support co-ops produce the finest, hand-crafted premium items using local techniques and vibrant designs chock-full of Himalayan spirit and color.

Our sustainability journey is guided by care for people, places and product. From supporting life-changing opportunities in Nepal to improving the way we measure, manage and report our impact, we are taking practical steps to build a more responsible business. This includes developing our ESG approach, strengthening product and certification claims, measuring our carbon footprint and working with supply chain partners who support lower-impact manufacturing. We are committed to continuous improvement and to communicating our progress with honesty and transparency.
